BOXING – BAHRAIN’S youth national boxing team standout Jayden Price bagged the gold medal in the schoolboys’ 48kg division at the Wexford Box Cup held in Wexford, Ireland.
Jayden secured his title after three unanimous decision victories against quality opponents from Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. Jayden competed for the 26th time in a Box Cup and has also come away with his 26th gold medal. His unbeaten run in the competition improved his fight record to 81 wins in 85 bouts.
Jayden’s gold in Ireland added to his recently won crown at the 2025 USA Boxing National Open, held in Tulsa, Oklahoma in September. He has also won gold for Bahrain at the Asian Boxing U15 and U17 Championship in Amman, Jordan, last April, and then struck gold again at the Braga Open Boxing event in Portugal in July.
Bahrain Boxing Federation president Rashid Feleyfel congratulated Jayden on his latest achievement. He added that it would not have been possible without the unwavering support and continuous care from the wise leadership and from Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
