Super Kings, JD’s Avengers, and Abraj Rocking Royals were all triumphant in the latest match week of season six in the Abraj Premier League (APL6).
Super Kings won over Abraj White Tigers in a super over after both teams ended their 20-over innings tied on 156 runs.
White Tigers posted a competitive 156/8, driven by an explosive knock from Shrawan Soni, who blasted 56 off 29 balls, including five towering sixes. Renjith (19 off 16) and Sachin (17 off 13) provided valuable support, while Super Kings’ bowling attack produced disciplined performances, with Tarun Parihar (2/13) and Viral Desai (2/23) standing out. Ankesh, Ajay Jain, and Sahil chipped in with one wicket each.
Super Kings then mirrored White Tigers’ score with 156/6, thanks to the composure of Ashwani Bhatia, who struck a steady 36 off 27. Hard-hitting contributions came from Varun Sood (23 off 12) and Viral Desai (19 off 22), keeping the chase alive until the final over. White Tigers’ bowlers fought back through Mukesh Kumar, Jaggi, Himanshu Patel, and Soni, each taking a wicket, but fielding lapses and 16 extras allowed Super Kings to stay level.
With scores tied, the match moved into a super over. Super Kings smashed 17 runs in their single over, thanks to big hitting from Bhatia (14 off four, two sixes) and Parihar (three off two). White Tigers managed only 6/0 in reply, despite a boundary from Anoop, as Parihar bowled a tight over to secure Super Kings’ win. Bhatia’s all-round brilliance earned him the Player of the Match award.
Khitiz
Meanwhile, Avengers edged MJ Yodhas by three runs in a tense APL6 clash. Batting first, Avengers were bowled out for 119 in 19.4 overs, recovering from early setbacks through important contributions from Kumar Khitiz (27 off 20), Dinesh Abraj (20 off 19) and Jignesh Dhanesha (20).

Chasing 120, Yodhas fell agonisingly short at 116/8, despite a fighting 31 from Amit Maity and 25 from Deepak Bhakuni. Dinesh Abraj’s (3/19) and steady spells from Jignesh (1/16), Safiyan (1/18), Hoziefa (1/18), and Arun (1/18) ensured Avengers held their nerve to secure a thrilling win.

Sharma
Batting first, Rocking Royals posted an impressive 177/7, fuelled by a blistering 50 off 21 balls from Rakesh Kumar, whose six boundaries and three sixes lit up the innings. Gaurav Sharma (27 off 14) and skipper Sagar Dholaria (13 off six) added crucial early momentum as the top order capitalised on loose bowling. SuperGiants’ attack struggled for consistency, though Ali Asgar (2/15) and Viinod Rathi (2/17) claimed two wickets while Anuj and Mishal each took one wicket.
In reply, SuperGiants faltered early and never recovered, bowled out for 118 in 19 overs. Stany Fernandes (27 off 22) and Venu (19 off 13) fought back briefly, but regular wickets derailed the chase. Rocking Royals’ bowlers – led by Ashwani Pratap (3/21), Suresh Lakku (2/24), Sharma (1/6), Anil (1/13), and Dileswar (1/11) – kept tight control throughout.
