Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa has directed the organisation of the 2025 World’s Strongest Man (WSM) Competition in April 2026.
The event will feature two categories: Bahrain’s Strongest Man and the GCC’s Strongest Man.
Shaikh Khalid affirmed that these championships come as part of Bahrain’s support for specialised and physical sports that attract a wide segment of young people and help promote a culture of strength, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle.
Shaikh Khalid noted that the championship enjoys significant public interest, expressing hope that the upcoming edition will achieve high levels of organisation and be held according to professional standards, building on the successes of past years.
Shaikh Khalid highlighted that these championships showcase physical abilities and skills, while giving young people opportunities to represent Bahrain regionally and internationally.
He commended the determination and ambition of Bahraini and Gulf youth, expressing confidence that the event will discover new talents and develop champions, and wished all participants success.
