More than 80 illegal expatriate workers have been deported from Bahrain over the past week as part of a major campaign aimed at cracking down on undocumented workers.
According to a Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) statement yesterday, a total of 1,817 inspection campaigns and visits were conducted between November 23 and 29, leading to the detention of 50 irregular workers and 83 deportations .
