Alba marked Bahraini Women’s Day yesterday with a special ceremony at the Oasis Hall on its premises in Askar.
The event celebrated the contributions of its female workforce and was attended by Alba board directors Rasha Sabkar and Hala Mufeez, and Supreme Council for Women’s services and resources director Shaima Al Mahmood.
Alba chief executive officer Ali Al Baqali and executive management team members were also present.
The celebration featured a panel discussion titled ‘Stories of Inspiring Youth in Alba’, where female employees shared their perspectives on expanding their role in the company’s success.
“Bahraini Women’s Day is not only a celebration of the remarkable achievements of Bahraini women, but also a call to create more pathways for their growth and success,” Mr Al Baqali said on the occasion.
“At Alba, we see women as a driving force behind our progress. Today, 45 per cent of our female workforce hold supervisory or higher-level positions – a testament to our commitment to gender diversity in leadership,” he added.
The event also showcased several women-led CSR initiatives by Alba Ladies earlier this year, including hospital visits to engage with disadvantaged children, tree-planting activities beyond company borders, and public beaches’ clean-up drives.
