The Industry and Commerce Ministry has launched the third edition of the ‘Digital Business Champions Overseas Programme for Companies and Factories’, in co-operation with Export Bahrain and Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), with participation from leading and mentoring companies.
The initiative supports the ministry’s efforts to develop the digital trade sector and boost its role in the digital economy. The programme aims to enhance exports through digital trade, prepare companies and factories to adopt digital practices, and promote digital transformation.
Information Systems Directorate director Maram Mukhtar Al Mahmeed said that the first two editions attracted more than 170 participants from more than 96 entities. The new edition will include factories, reflecting the sector’s importance to economic growth, and will feature a specialised export mentoring session by Export Bahrain.
