His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday met Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Badah Al Mutairi at Gudaibiya Palace.
During the meeting, HRH Prince Salman highlighted the longstanding and historic partnership between the two countries, which continues to be strengthened through the efforts of His Majesty King Hamad and Kuwaiti Amir Shaikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed that Bahrain-Kuwait relations are underpinned by collaboration across key sectors and shared interests. He reiterated the importance of further bolstering joint co-operation to expand opportunities across various sectors, particularly in the media, cultural and youth fields.
Minister Al Mutairi conveyed the greetings of Shaikh Meshal, Kuwaiti Crown Prince Shaikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Mubarak Al Sabah and Kuwaiti Prime Minister Shaikh Ahmad Abdullah Al Ahmad Al Sabah to HRH Prince Salman, along with their wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Bahrain.
HRH Prince Salman conveyed his greetings to Shaikh Meshal, Shaikh Sabah and Shaikh Ahmad.
Minister Al Mutairi expressed his gratitude for HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s efforts in strengthening Bahrain-Kuwait relations, and for the warm hospitality extended to him during his stay in Bahrain.
Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and several senior officials also attended the meeting.
Minister Al Mutairi earlier visited the Muharraq Nights Festival.
Information Minister Dr Ramzan Al Nuaimi and Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities president Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa were present.
Minister Al Mutairi visited the festival’s key events and programmes, noting that its cultural and artistic performances highlight the distinctive character of Muharraq and reflect the richness and depth of Bahrain’s cultural identity.
