In a comical broadcasting error, the director of the Egypt vs Zimbabwe match at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) accidentally kept the cameras on the Zimbabwean team throughout the duration of the Egyptian national anthem.
The broadcast showed the Zimbabwe players standing awkwardly as the Egyptian squad could be heard audibly singing their anthem off-camera. Despite the mismatch, the camera failed to pan to the Egyptian team once during the entire segment.
The match ultimately ended in a 2-1 victory for Egypt, with Mohamed Salah scoring the winner in the final moments of the game.
