GOLF – LIEUTENANT General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Adviser, Royal Guard Commander and Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council, won first place in the individual category of the sixth Royal Bahraini Air Force Golf Tournament.
The tournament, held at Al Suqoor Golf Course at the Royal Bahraini Air Force’s Isa Air Base, saw wide participation and a distinguished sporting atmosphere.
The tournament featured competition over 18 holes, with Shaikh Nasser securing first place in the gross scoring. Khalifa Al Marisi claimed the second position while Nasser Yaqoob was third and Khalifa Al Kaabi fourth.
Shaikh Nasser commended the Royal Bahraini Air Force for organising the tournament, noting its role in strengthening communication among members of the military and the sporting community.
Shaikh Nasser’s participation in the tournament reflects continued support for sports and the promotion of athletic activity as a means of fostering discipline, teamwork, and physical and mental well-being, particularly within military institutions.
