His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday attended the unveiling of the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team’s new MCL40, at the Bahrain International Circuit.
He affirmed that the successes of the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team have contributed to the kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the support of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat) to McLaren.
It has contributed to the team’s recent successes, he said and noted the continued intensification of efforts to meet the kingdom’s far-reaching goals.
HRH Prince Salman commended the team’s personnel for their role in delivering the sophisticated design of the new vehicle and wished the team further success in the 2026 Formula 1 season.

He also commended the efforts of the organisers of the Formula 1 Pre-Season Testing 2026, ahead of the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2026, to be held in April.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister stressed the importance of unified efforts in implementing plans and programmes, which strengthen the kingdom’s success in the upcoming Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2026.
He thanked Bahrainis for their efforts in contributing to the success of the kingdom’s hosting of F1 races.
