Under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the GSA held a Bahrain Sports Day event at Bahrain Bay.
The event was attended by Shaikh Khalid and a wide range of official bodies and public and private sector institutions, along with a large public turnout from different parts of society.
The event included a variety of open sports activities and programmes for all ages, in an atmosphere that reflected community unity and emphasised the strong position of sport in Bahrain as a way of life and a deeply rooted social culture.
Shaikh Khalid said that Bahrain Sports Day reflects the national vision to promote sports and physical activity.
He highlighted that the decision supports the goal of a more active and productive society.
