Golf Saudi ambassador Charley Hull carded a seven-under 65 in the final round of the $5 million PIF Saudi Ladies International to be crowned the champion of the Ladies European Tour season opener held at Riyadh Golf Club.
Hall reaffirmed her strong connection with Riyadh Golf Club, having previously won the title in 2024, in addition to achieving three top-10 finishes in the Saudi capital, reflecting her consistent performance and strong presence at this tournament.
Hall navigated a tough competition, carding seven birdies and an eagle on the 12th five-hole hole.
The 29-year-old’s victory brings her tally to five Ladies European Tour titles, following a tense wait after a crucial birdie in the closing stages of the competition. Hull shot a spectacular eagle from nearly 18 metres on the 12th hole, a highlight of the final round.
Chinese player Mony He and a South Korean player also deserved special praise after finishing the tournament with a score of 13 under par, without a single fault throughout the four rounds.
Hull secured the title by a single stroke, edging out South Africa’s Cassandra Alexander and Japan’s Akie Iwai in a hard-fought battle that went down to the wire.
South Africa’s Cassandra Alexander described herself as possessing “a high level of mental composure in big matches,” referring to her ability to maintain her focus and performance under pressure.
Charley said, “I am extremely happy with this win; the Riyadh Golf Club course holds a special place in my heart, and returning here to win another title in this wonderful atmosphere in the kingdom is truly amazing.
“I feel fantastic, and I absolutely love this course. It has clearly developed over the years, becoming more challenging with increased grass density and a tougher course, which has made the experience both enjoyable and challenging.”
The event attracted 775 participants from social responsibility programmes, representing a number of prestigious educational institutions across the kingdom.
