US President Donald Trump has stated that the United States is doing "very well" in its war against Iran, rating the progress "15 out of 10".
The President’s comments came as the conflict entered its fifth day, marked by the sinking of an Iranian warship by a US submarine off the coast of Sri Lanka and reported explosions across the Middle East.

"We're doing well on the war front, to put it mildly. Somebody said on a scale of 10, where would you rate it? I said about a 15," Mr Trump told a gathering of tech executives at the White House on Wednesday. He added that the US is in a "very strong position" and claimed the Iranian leadership is "rapidly going."
In Washington, Republican senators have voted against a motion intended to halt the air campaign and require military action to be authorised by Congress.
