I am writing to respectfully request support for Indian nationals currently residing in Bahrain who are facing significant challenges in travelling due to the ongoing situation in the region.
We sincerely appreciate the efforts of the Indian Embassy in assisting stranded Indian citizens, particularly in facilitating transit visas. These efforts have provided much-needed relief, and the community is truly grateful.
However, we would like to bring to your attention certain ongoing difficulties:
At present, Saudi Arabia is not issuing multi-entry visas to Indian nationals. The cost of single-entry visas is extremely high. Visa processing times have become significantly prolonged. And, flight fares have surged to nearly four times the usual cost.
These challenges are placing a considerable financial and emotional burden on Indian families, especially those travelling with dependants and young children.
In light of the current circumstances, we humbly request that the concerned authorities consider:
• Reducing the cost of e-visas for Indian nationals.
• Facilitating the issuance of multi-entry visas.
• Expediting visa processing timelines.
• Exploring possible government-level interventions to ease travel and transit for affected individuals.
Any support or diplomatic engagement from the respective governments would greatly alleviate the hardships faced by the community during this difficult time.
