MEMBERS of the Bahrain Chamber have been called upon to participate in tomorrow’s board of directors elections to ensure the new leadership reflects the private sector’s aspirations and can navigate current economic challenges.
Abbas Abdulmohsen Radhi, chairman of the Elections Committee for the 31st session, issued the rally cry as intensive preparations were finalised at Exhibition World Bahrain.
Mr Radhi emphasised that voting is a personal responsibility and cannot be delegated.
For companies, voting is strictly limited to board members, while for sole proprietorships, only the owner may cast a ballot, provided they are legal representatives listed on the voter register.
“The election site has been carefully prepared according to the highest organisational and technical standards,” Mr Radhi said, noting that specialised teams have been working under close supervision to manage voter registration, entry and exit routes, and logistical support.
In a move to ensure an inclusive environment, the committee has allocated dedicated pathways, accessible entrances, and support facilities for people with disabilities to ensure they can participate with ease.
The chairman added that the Chamber is leveraging advanced technological resources to maintain efficiency.
This includes the adoption of the latest electronic systems for the vote-counting process to ensure speed and accuracy.
“All preparations are proceeding according to a comprehensive plan to ensure exemplary elections that reflect the Chamber’s prestigious standing,” Mr Radhi concluded.
“This will lead to a board of directors capable of guiding the next phase and fulfilling the aspirations of the kingdom’s business community.”
Organised spaces have also been allocated for candidates to present their programmes, alongside a dedicated media centre to enhance transparency during the proceedings.
The poll takes place tomorrow.
