Fourteen individuals have been referred to criminal trial on charges of being part of terrorist cells collaborating with Iran, the Public Prosecution announced today.
The suspects, who will be tried in four separate cases before the High Criminal Court, include one woman as well as several individuals who have reportedly fled to Iran.
According to the prosecution, the accused face a range of charges, including allegedly acting as informants for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, assisting in hostile operations against the country, receiving and transferring funds, disclosing national defence secrets, and spreading false information with the intent to create panic among the public.
