CYCLING – MATEJ Mohoric was the top finisher for Team Bahrain Victorious yesterday in the 80th edition of the Dwars door Vlaanderen race, held in Belgium.
The one-day event – a UCI World Tour Classic – featured a course covering 184.6 kilometres in distance.
Mohoric was part of a large group that battled in a bunch sprint to the finish. He was eventually classified 18th, crossing the line behind winner Filippo Ganna of Ineos Grenadiers.
Teammate Alec Segaert followed for the squad in 29th, while Zak Erzen came 60th.
Bahrain Victorious’ other riders did not finish, including Kamil Gradek, Daniel Skerl, Pau Miquel, and Alessandro Borgo.
