Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa yesterday received Italian Ambassador Andrea Catalano, in the presence of Defence Affairs Minister Lieutenant General Abdulla Al Nuaimi and senior BDF officers.
He affirmed that, thanks to the visions of His Majesty King Hamad, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, Bahraini-Italian relations continue to advance towards broader horizons, underpinned by sustained co-operation and ongoing progress across various domains.
He commended the role played by Italy in reinforcing the foundations of security and peace regionally and globally.
