The Entrepreneurs’ Organisation (EO) Bahrain has announced the judging panel for the Farouk Almoayyed Bahraini Global Student Entrepreneur Award (GSEA Bahrain).
Named in honour of the late business icon, the award celebrates his legacy of youth empowerment and innovation.
Organised in strategic collaboration with Almoayyed Computers Middle East (ACME), the initiative bridges student-led startups with deep industry expertise. ACME’s involvement underscores a commitment to fostering local talent and digital transformation.
Scheduled to take place today (April 12, 2026), the competition will be evaluated by a distinguished panel of public and private sector leaders: Ashrafs executive director Amal Almoayyed, Tamkeen chief executive Maha Mofeez: Y K Almoayyed & Sons general manager Ahmed Al Daylami,
Bahrain Development Bank chief banking officer Ali Al Aradi and Bahrain Islamic Bank head of commercial banking and SMEs Nasser Al Tattan.
The programme is led by GSEA chair Bob Thaker and co-chair Renuka Ravindran, with support from EO Bahrain president Fareed Bader.
“The diverse backgrounds of our judges bring valuable perspectives that will greatly benefit participating students,” said Mr Thaker. “This platform allows student entrepreneurs to present ventures to leading investors, gaining practical insights to scale their businesses globally.”
The GSEA is EO’s flagship programme for students managing businesses while studying. Winners of the local chapter will advance to regional and global finals.
Aligning with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, the award aims to diversify the economy by transforming youth-led innovation into sustainable ventures. Projects will be judged on innovation, sustainability, and scalability.
