Bahrain’s strong relations with Russia were on display as His Majesty King Hamad yesterday received Russian Ambassador Dr Alexey Skosyrev.
The meeting was attended by His Majesty’s Personal Representative Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and his representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
His Majesty commended the efforts of Russian President Vladimir Putin in strengthening the longstanding relations between Bahrain and Russia.
He discussed with the Russian ambassador the strong bilateral ties, exploring means to further enhance co-operation between the two countries.
The King wished the diplomat success in his duties.
Dr Skosyrev expressed his gratitude to the King, and commended his efforts in fostering the development of Bahrain-Russia relations at all levels.
