PARA ATHLETICS – BAHRAINI Para athlete Zahraa Al Jabouri bagged a bronze medal in the women’s shot put F34 category at the Rabat 2026 World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Morocco.
Al Jabouri secured her place on the podium with a best attempt of 4.80 metres, which was also her personal best.
She put in a strong and consistent performance in her event. Her top mark came on the fourth of six throws, with her other attempts being 4.64m, 4.70m, 4.76m, 4.51m, and 4.63m.
Hadeel Al Thwai from Saudi Arabia captured gold with a 6.87m effort, while Iman Taiseer of Oman claimed silver at 5.37m.
To add to Al Jabouri’s medal success, she also achieved the qualifying standard for the 2026 Asian Para Games, set to take place in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from October 18 to 24.
