Kuwait's Prime Minister Shaikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah chaired on Thursday the 50th meeting of the ministerial committee tasked with following up on major development projects across the country.
The meeting touched on the implementation status of several key national development projects, including the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port project, the electricity and renewable energy system, low-carbon green waste recycling initiatives, housing development projects, and environmental infrastructure related to wastewater treatment plants.
Discussions also covered environmental and afforestation projects, railway links between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, the GCC railway network, and the latest developments regarding the new passenger terminal (T2) project at Kuwait International Airport.
The Prime Minister directed to intensify efforts within a government approach based on strategic planning to ensure efficient government performance, overcome challenges, and accelerate implementation of major development projects in line with international quality standards and approved timelines.
