Solidarity Bahrain, one of the largest insurance companies in Bahrain and a subsidiary of Solidarity Group Holding, hosted an introductory workshop for its employees on the National Project Lamea, Bahrain’s flagship national platform to discover and upskill elite youth talent.
The session was led by Solidarity Bahrain’s Lamea Programme graduates, Muna Almarzooq and Hasan Almahmeed, who presented a comprehensive overview of the programme, including its structure, key stages, community, and selection criteria. Drawing on their direct experience, the session offered employees practical insights into the programme and its potential impact on professional growth.
The National Project Lamea, launched in 2021 under the patronage of His Majesty’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and supreme council for youth and sports chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, is a national initiative focused on developing the next generation of Bahraini leaders through a structured programme that combines leadership training, innovation, and real-world challenges. Since its launch, Lamea has supported the progression of high-potential youth into leadership roles across various sectors, contributing to Bahrain’s broader national development goals.
Ms Almarzooq and Mr Almahmeed emphasised that investing in the development of national talent remains a key priority for Solidarity Bahrain and the wider community. They highlighted that initiatives such as the Lamea National Programme provide valuable opportunities for growth and advancement.
They further noted that what makes this initiative particularly impactful is seeing the Company’s own employees take the lead in sharing their experiences and supporting their colleagues, reflecting the collaborative and forward-looking culture that Solidarity Bahrain continues to foster.
The workshop reflects Solidarity Bahrain’s commitment to developing national talent from within the organisation, while encouraging employees to take an active role in sharing knowledge and supporting one another’s development.
The initiative forms part of Solidarity Bahrain’s wider efforts to support the development of talent that contributes to a stronger and more capable insurance sector in Bahrain.
