Kuwait's Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced Tuesday that security authorities had arrested a fugitive convict wanted in a case to serve the remainder of his prison sentence after fleeing the country.
In a press statement, the Ministry said the arrest came within the framework of joint security cooperation and ongoing coordination between Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Ministry expressed its deep gratitude and appreciation to the Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia, headed by Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud, for the swift response and fruitful cooperation in apprehending and extraditing the suspect, affirming that such cooperation reflects the strong security partnership between the two brotherly nations.
Specialised investigation committee had been formed to determine the circumstances regarding the incident in preparation for taking the necessary measures against those responsible, and to reaffirm that the law applies to everyone without exception and anyone who attempts to violate the law and flee from justice, the statement added.
