The Sikh community in Bahrain marked Baisakhi, the anniversary of the founding of the Sikh order (Khalsa) in 1699.
A celebration was held at the Shri Guru Singh Sabha Sikh Temple in Budaiya yesterday.
Social Development Ministry Under-Secretary Zeyad Darwish, King Hamad Global Centre for Coexistence and Tolerance representative Ebrahim Al Balooshi and Indian embassy officials were among those who attended.
They were honoured by temple officials.
