Such a low cap when you factor in freight charges. If the goal is to boost local market competitiveness, the local market first needs to expand its inventory to actually match the variety we are forced to source from abroad.

UAE sets unified monthly payday for private sector workers
Same thing should apply here in Bahrain. Some private companies don’t pay on time and even keep your salary for two months.

I pray that someone in Bahrain realises that salaries should be paid on the 1st of the month.
Some private companies take such unfair advantage of their employees’ helplessness that they don’t pay salaries until the middle of the month, sometimes even dragging it to the 20th.

It’s already implemented in Bahrain. We also have a Wage Protection System, and companies that fail to comply with it can face fines and penalties.

The same rules should be implemented in Bahrain as well. Many private companies are not paying salaries on time.
