PARA TAEKWONDO – BAHRAIN’S para-taekwondo national team arrived in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to participate in the 11th Asian Para Taekwondo Championships, which also act as a qualifier for the Asian Para Games in Aichi and Nagoya in Japan later this year.
Para taekwondo jins Manan Jozi (women’s 47kg) and Ebrahim Radwan (men’s 63kg) successfully passed the official weigh-ins yesterday as part of the formalities ahead of the start of competition. The event will see the participation of more than 100 competitors representing 17 countries.
Bahrain’s participation follows a camp held in South Korea, during which Jozi and Radwan underwent intensive training and scrimmages alongside jins from the South Korean Para taekwondo national team and Kyung Hee University, under the supervision of coaches Tawfeeq Nuwaiser and Fajar Al Binali.
