Youth Affairs Minister Rawan Tawfiqi inaugurated Bayt Lamea in the Muharraq Governorate. Lamea Association chairwoman Shaikha Dwa bint Khalid Al Khalifa was present.
Ms Tawfiqi said the inauguration represents a qualitative step in providing integrated youth environments that nurture national talent, develop abilities and empower youth to contribute to comprehensive development.
She said the project reflects the vision led by His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa aimed at establishing an integrated national system for youth empowerment and enabling creativity, innovation and excellence.
She added that Bayt Lamea serves as a national incubator for developing young leaders and a platform for supporting promising Bahraini competencies. The minister noted that the project is the result of co-operation between the ministry and Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities.
Shaikha Dwa expressed her appreciation for the support of the minister, saying Bayt Lamea represents a key milestone for the entity as an integrated environment for youth, providing space for creativity, collaboration and joint work.
