Warning sirens echoed across Bahrain early this morning as the Interior Ministry urged citizens and residents to remain calm and head to the nearest safe place.
Residents across the kingdom reported hearing several loud bangs.
The ministry later sounded an all-clear alert.
The alert comes amidst ongoing talks on a ceasefire deal between the US and Iran to stop the Mideast war.
Around the same time, Reuters reported Kuwait’s army as saying that its air defences were intercepting hostile missile and drone attacks.
It urged the public to follow security and safety instructions issued by the relevant authorities, the report added.
Any sound of explosions heard were the result of interceptions, the Kuwaiti army added.
