A trash bin suddenly burst into flames in Rustaq, Oman, on a particularly sweltering day, sending a large plume of smoke into the air and setting fire to nearby bins.
It remains unclear what caused the fire, though the extreme heat is suspected to be a leading factor. Barka, a town 50 km away, recorded a temperature of 49.4°C over the past 24 hours, according to Oman Meteorology.
