SWIMMING – Nearly 400 swimmers from 28 countries took part in the Bahrain Aquatics Cup 2026, held at the Khalifa Sports City swimming pool in Isa Town.
The event was held under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
BOC vice-president Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa attended the event’s closing ceremony.
Shaikh Isa awarded the event’s winners across the various categories.
Shaikh Isa bin Ali extended his thanks and appreciation to Shaikh Khalid for his patronage of the Bahrain Aquatics Cup, noting that the event reflects his ongoing commitment to supporting the sports movement.
Shaikh Isa commended the meet’s success, noting that the competition’s return after more than three decades marks an important milestone in the development of aquatic sports and the strengthening of their presence at both the local and international levels.
Shaikh Isa congratulated all the winners who climbed the podium in the various categories.
