Around 60 members of the Filipino community took part in a stress debriefing programme aimed at highlighting the importance of mental well-being and emotional resilience.
Organised by the Philippine Nurses Association of Bahrain at the Migrant Workers Office of the Philippine Embassy in Manama, the programme, held under the theme ‘Hope Beyond Hardships’, focused on teaching Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) how to manage stress and mental health challenges.
The session provided participants with an opportunity to reflect, recharge and regain a sense of strength while navigating the realities of life overseas.
Through interactive sharing sessions and supportive activities, attendees were able to connect with one another, share their personal experiences and find comfort in the collective understanding of their struggles.
MWO labour attaché Dr Orville Ballitoc attended the event and expressed his support for initiatives that promote the welfare, mental health and overall well-being of OFWs.
As part of the programme, hygiene kits and grocery packs were distributed to participants, symbolising the compassion, care and solidarity within the Filipino community in Bahrain.
