HIS Majesty King Hamad, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received Admiral Charles Bradford Cooper II, Commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), and the accompanying delegation on the occasion of their visit to Bahrain.
His Majesty commended the close relations and ongoing co-ordination between Bahrain and the US, as well as the continued progress in co-operation across various domains, particularly in defence and military co-ordination. He also underscored the friendship and alliance between the two countries.
The King highlighted the pivotal role of the US in safeguarding security and stability in the region and promoting international peace.
The meeting reviewed regional and international developments, particularly the latest developments in the region and ongoing efforts to enhance security and stability. It also discussed the Iranian attacks affecting the region, in addition to a number of issues of common interest.
