Information Minister Dr Ramzan Al Nuaimi congratulated Bahraini director Salman Yousif after his short film Seed won the Golden Palm Award for Best Gulf Short Narrative Film at the 12th Saudi Film Festival, describing the achievement as a further success for Bahraini cinema.
He said that the progress achieved by Bahraini filmmakers and their ability to produce high-quality works recognised at Gulf and regional events reflects the continued development of Bahrain’s film industry.
He highlighted that the award reflects the growth of Bahrain’s film industry and the increasing number of creative local productions, contributing to strengthening the country’s film sector and showcasing its artistic talent.
The Information Minister commended Mr Yousif for writing and directing the film, noting that the award would encourage him to continue producing works that reflect Bahrain’s cultural identity and contribute to Gulf and Arab cinema.
He wished Mr Yousif continued success and expressed hope that he would achieve further accomplishments that strengthen the presence of Bahraini cinema at regional and international events.
