Under-secretary for Ports and Maritime Affairs at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications Bader Hood Al Mahmood has met German Ambassador Henning Simon.
The Under-secretary highlighted the strong bilateral relations and long-standing ties between both countries.
The meeting discussed means to enhance co-operation, particularly in the maritime transport and logistics sectors, in support of shared interests.
The two sides also exchanged expertise and international best practices in port management and discussed the adoption of smart and sustainable solutions.
Following the meeting, the ambassador and the accompanying delegation toured Khalifa Bin Salman Port to review its advanced facilities and logistics capabilities as a key hub for regional trade. The delegation was also briefed on the port’s operational procedures, its high cargo and container handling efficiency, and future development plans aimed at reinforcing its position as a leading regional maritime logistics hub.
For his part, the German ambassador expressed his admiration for the advanced infrastructure and organisational efficiency of Bahrain’s seaports.
