CYCLING – Team Bahrain Victorious rider Lenny Martinez claimed a solid top 10 finish yesterday in the 10th stage of the 113th Tour de France.
Martinez battled all the way to the end after 166.6 kilometres of racing on Bastille Day, finishing just over two minutes behind stage winner and overall race leader Tadej Pogacar of UAE Team Emirates-XRG.
Despite his strong showing, Martinez dropped one position to ninth on the general classification and fell five places to eighth in the King of the Mountains ranking, while staying fourth on the best young rider standings.
