AQUATICS – GENERAL Sports Authority (GSA) CEO Dr Abdulrahman Askar received a delegation from Bahrain Aquatics, the kingdom’s governing body for aquatic sports, led by Bahrain Aquatics president Abdulla Attiya.
During their meeting, the two parties discussed several topics related to Bahrain Aquatics’ work, including its programmes, activities, and championships, as well as its future plans and ways to further develop aquatic sports in the kingdom.
Attiya presented Dr Askar with the federation’s 2025 annual report, which highlighted Bahrain Aquatics’ most prominent initiatives during the year, along with its achievements.
Dr Askar commended the efforts of the Bahrain Aquatics board and the report’s diverse programmes and activities, emphasising the importance of continuing to develop aquatic sports, raising the level of national teams and athletes, and thus enhancing their participation in various events and championships.
The meeting was also attended by Bahrain Aquatics vice-president and board member Dr Maryam Abu Alfath and by several officials from both the GSA and Bahrain Aquatics.
