Around 275 workers benefited from the Indian Community Welfare Association’s (ICWA) annual summer awareness programme ‘Thirst Quenchers’ in its eighth week.
Volunteers distributed water, refreshments, fruit and ice-cream at a worksite in Muharraq.
The campaign is supported by the Labour Ministry, the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, the International Organisation for Migration in Bahrain, the Bohra community, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and other patrons.
ICWA adviser Dr Babu Ramachandran addressed the gathering on health and safety precautions that workers should observe during the summer months.
