BANK ABC has appointed Marek Michalski as group chief auditor, effective Sunday.
In his new role, Mr Michalski will report to the Board Audit Committee and lead the group internal audit function, providing independent assurance over the bank’s governance, risk management and internal control frameworks.
Mr Michalski joins Bank ABC from Lloyds Banking Group, where he served as chief internal auditor of Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets. He brings extensive international experience across commercial banking, investment banking, wealth and asset management in the UK, Asia, and North America, having previously held senior audit roles at UBS Securities, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and ANZ Banking Group.
“Marek brings deep expertise in internal audit and extensive experience across major financial institutions and markets,” said Bank ABC Group chief executive officer Paul H Jennings. “His appointment will further strengthen our internal audit function and its contribution to the group as we continue to deliver on our strategic priorities.”

Mr Jennings
Mr Michalski holds an MBA from Henley Business School and a Master of Applied Finance from the University of Melbourne. He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
