The Indian Community Welfare Association (ICWA) distributed water, juice and fresh fruit to around 150 workers at a site in Riffa as part of an annual summer awareness programme.
The Thirst Quenchers 2026 initiative is in line with the Labour Ministry’s efforts to ensure a safe working environment during the sweltering summer months. The event was also held with the support of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM).
The Bohra community, along with a large number of dedicated volunteers and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India - Bahrain Chapter, also extended their generous support to the campaign.
Notable attendees included ICWA vice-chairman Pankaj Nallur, adviser Aruldas Thomas, joint secretary Javad Pasha, Thirst Quenchers co-ordinator Chemban Jalal.
