Thirty-eight school bags have been donated to local communities and charitable societies to support students and families in need ahead of the new academic year.
The initiative was organised by members of the Rotary Club of Salmaniya and Rotary Club of Seef Bahrain as part of their ongoing community service efforts.
One of the societies to benefit from the donation was the Tree of Life Society, which expressed its appreciation to the clubs for providing school bags to orphans and families in need registered with the organisation.
As part of the initiative, the clubs also met Northern Deputy Governor Brigadier Abdulla Mantar, representatives of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association – Bahrain Chapter and the Dawoodi Bohra Community to discuss opportunities for future collaboration and community service projects.
Planned initiatives include humanitarian projects such as renovating dilapidated homes in co-operation with the Northern Governorate, helping to improve living conditions and strengthen community well-being.
Public school students will return to classrooms on September 3, with the academic year running through to June 30, 2027.
