CYCLING – BAHRAIN Victorious Development Team rider Thomas Capra won the green jersey yesterday after topping the points ranking at the end of the Tour de l’Avenir in France.
The seven-stage elite under-23 men’s road race wrapped up with a 127.8-kilometre final leg, with Capra’s teammate Jan Michal Jackowiak finishing as their best competitor for the day in eighth place.
Amongst their other teammates, Balint Feldhoffer was 32nd, Valentin Hofer came 49th, and Kasper Borremans finished 61st, while Capra was 71st. Jackowiak was the squad’s best rider on the general classification in eighth overall, as well as in the King of the Mountains rankings in fourth and in the best youth rider standings in fifth.
