The latest data released by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) showed that claims on the private sector increased by 4.92 per cent year-on-year at the end of July 2026, reaching around BD12.77 billion, compared with approximately BD12.17bn in July 2025.
According to the CBB’s July statistical bulletin, private-sector credit increased month-on-month from June, when it stood at around BD12.67bn, indicating continued growth in financing directed towards the private sector.
On the monetary front, broad money supply (M2) rose by 10.20pc year-on-year at the end of July 2026 to around BD15.30bn, compared with approximately BD13.89bn in July 2025.
CBB data also showed a slight decline in M2 compared with June 2026, when it stood at around BD15.38bn.
Meanwhile, the broader money supply measure, M3, reached around BD17.91 billion at the end of July 2026, compared with approximately BD16.19 billion in July 2025.
The figures reflect continued growth in credit extended to the private sector, alongside a year-on-year increase in overall liquidity.
