Citizens and residents have been urged to exercise caution and ignore text messages falsely claiming they have traffic violations that must be settled through attached links.
The General Directorate of Traffic stressed that traffic fines, if any, can only be paid through official channels, namely the MyGov app and the National e-Government Portal.
The warning was issued by the Interior Ministry’s General Directorate of Traffic through its official social media platforms.
