Social Development Minister Osama Al Alawi visited rehabilitation facilities run by the ministry as students with disabilities began the new academic year.
He reviewed the readiness of the facilities and the progress of rehabilitation programmes at the National Bank of Bahrain Home for the Rehabilitation of Disabled Children and the Academic and Vocational Rehabilitation Centre.
Mr Al Alawi also inspected the services and classrooms provided to students, reaffirming the ministry’s commitment to developing rehabilitation services that take into account their individual needs and abilities.
The minister said the services aim to develop students’ skills, promote their independence and empowerment, and support their integration into society.
He praised the administrative, educational, rehabilitation and technical teams working at the ministry’s centres, highlighting their role in creating a supportive and stimulating environment for students.
Students were also welcomed at the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait Rehabilitation Centre, Shaikhan Al Farsi Comprehensive Speech Centre, Child Day Care Centre and the Al Matrook Conductive Rehabilitation Centre (without Guidance).
