Bahraini photographers who represented the kingdom at the 37th FIAP Black and White Biennial in Brazil have been honoured for their contribution to Bahrain’s strong showing at the prestigious international photography event.
National Arts Council chairman Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa recognised the participants in the presence of Bahrain Arts Society (BAS) president Shaikha Marwa bint Rashid Al Khalifa.
Shaikh Rashid praised the achievement as a reflection of the growing international stature of Bahraini photography. He also commended BAS for its efforts in nurturing local talent and creating opportunities for photographers, including both members and non-members of the society.
