The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has developed a new digital service to enable employers to update the permissions of authorised persons to enter data, submit applications, pay invoices, print work permits, or carry out both functions within one working day.
The service has been fully digitised, reducing required documents by 50 per cent, while simplifying the user interface and experience, introducing electronic forms and standardising the service information published across all channels.
LMRA deputy chief executive officer for operations and services Ahmed Al Arabi said the service forms part of LMRA’s efforts to adopt innovative digital solutions that enhance the efficiency and quality of services and provide beneficiaries with a simpler and clearer digital experience.
He added that the service reflects LMRA’s efforts to develop its services, reduce the time and effort required by enterprises and enhance the efficiency of the labour market system.
As part of ongoing government efforts to develop and re-engineer government services, more than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published, with around 800 services undergoing development and re-engineering across various government sectors.
This is based on proposals and feedback received regarding government services through the National System for Suggestions and Complaints, Tawasul, investor feedback and secret shopper reports evaluating government services, as well as the launch of guidance manuals and service level agreements.
These efforts contribute to improving procedural efficiency, enhancing service quality, strengthening beneficiary experience and supporting the government’s digital transformation journey.
