It gives me immense pleasure and pride to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Shaikh Mohammed bin Duaij Al Khalifa on his appointment as Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League.
Having had the privilege of knowing and working closely with Shaikh Mohammed since 1997, I have personally witnessed his dedication, humility, vision, integrity and unwavering commitment to serving Bahrain and its people.
As a volunteer with the Bahrain Sports Federation for the Disabled and Special Olympics Bahrain since 1990, I have witnessed and supported the remarkable development of sports and opportunities for persons with disabilities in the kingdom. This experience has given me an even deeper appreciation of Shaikh Mohammed’s distinguished leadership, dedication and lasting contribution to the Paralympic movement and to the empowerment of persons with disabilities.
This appointment is not only a great personal achievement for him, but also a moment of immense pride for the kingdom. His new responsibility at the Arab League is a fitting recognition of his experience, leadership and distinguished contributions over the years.
Shaikh Mohammed’s remarkable leadership as president of the Bahrain Paralympic Committee, together with his international role as a Member-at-Large of the Governing Board of the International Paralympic Committee, reflects the confidence placed in him both nationally and internationally.
I am confident that, in his new role at the Arab League, he will continue to serve with the same wisdom, commitment and humility that have distinguished his public service over the years.
We are proud of you, Shaikh Mohammed, and wish you every success and God’s abundant blessings in this new and important responsibility. May your new assignment bring further honour and recognition to the kingdom and enable you to make an even greater contribution to the Arab world.
