OIL and Environment Minister and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs Dr Mohammed bin Daina participated in the opening of the Leaders for Nature Summit at the Meridian Expo Centre in Yerevan, Armenia, as the country prepares to preside over the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) this year.
The minister emphasised that protecting ecosystems and preserving biodiversity are essential to security, stability and sustainable development .
