The first-ever electric taxi initiative in the kingdom was launched yesterday at Bahrain International Airport (BIA), building on public-private partnerships to drive the country into the future.
The pilot programme, launched in collaboration between the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry and Fakhro Motors, will see four taxi drivers driving all-electric vehicles from the airport for one year .
